Our guests this week are our first RADAR recipients at our..

2026 RADAR Awards Presentation Breakfast

The RADAR Award programme is designed to acknowledge an employee, irrespective of age or vocation, who, in the eyes of his or her employer, displays outstanding qualities in terms of approach, attitude, dedication and commitment to his or her job.

Its purpose is to acknowledge excellence in the workplace and recognise individuals whose outstanding service and contributions often go under the radar and deserve public recognition.  These RADAR Awards are part of the wider Rotary Club of Port Nicholson's Awards programme. This is the inaugural presentation of the awards. This Awards function will be dedicated to acknowledging the successful nominees.
                                     President David

Dear Rotary friends,

I’m writing this after returning from helping at the Waitangi Market car park. For two weeks in a row, we’ve had a slot there, raising precious funds for Lifting the Lid and our other projects. My thanks to the team that consistently supports this initiative. Come rain or shine, it’s always enjoyable, and your commitment is greatly appreciated.

We’re now heading into a very busy and exciting time for our Club, with the Radar Awards next Wednesday, followed by our Grand Night Out the following Wednesday. (Please remember not to turn up for the breakfast meeting that day!) Thanks to Howard, David S and Steve for all their work on the Radar Awards, and to Paula and the Projects Team who have worked tirelessly on the Grand Night Out. Please make sure you have registered and paid for these events.

Have a wonderful week, everyone.
David
