Auction Prizes wanted

If you have ideas or contacts who may donate prizes for the Auction, please let the subcommittee know.

Interact are needing a new Rotarian!

Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 14 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting.

A huge thank you to Kamini who has supported our Interact over the last wee while, but has recently had to step down, as she moved down south.
If you are interested in taking over the supporting Rotarian role please contact Darryl.

Good News from Rotary Wellington North!

Check out this article they recently had published in the Independent Herald.
"Rotarians were once best known for meeting for a meal, with a side line of donating to Charity..."  Let's keep working to change the narrative!
Great work RCWN!

WCM Help Needed

If you are able to help deliver food and supplies we collect at the last meeting of the month to the Wellington City Mission your help would be appreciated.

Please text David on 0273544137.

Bacon Buttie Buddy

David would like to step down from one of the MANY roles he holds with our club, facilitating the organisation and sales of our World Famous Bacon Butties, raising money for the fight against Polio each year.

If you have a bit of spare time and can take over, please contact David. He has all the information you need, and will offer ongoing support, with Linda.

Goal Setter Awards 2022

Thursday 11th August

Guest speaker Paula Tesoriero MNZM - New Zealand’s Disability Rights Commissioner

On Thursday 11th August the Rotary Club of Port Nicholson is hosting  Paula Tesoriero, New Zealand’s Disability Rights Commissioner at a breakfast meeting in the Banquet Hall at Parliament beginning at 7.00am.

Paula is a Paralympian cycling gold medallist, was Chef de Mission of the  NZ team at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020, is a life trustee of the Halberg  Foundation and in 2022 her focus will be on working to change attitudes  to disability.

In addition, the Club will present three or more students with Goal Setter Awards. These are monetary awards presented to outstanding students who have shown they can set and  achieve goals, have faced significant challenges in their lives and have given service to their  community. Eligible students are those who are in at least their second year of study at a tertiary institution in the Wellington region and are working towards the completion of an  undergraduate or post-graduate degree, a National Certificate, or structured workplace  learning for completing a New Zealand Apprenticeship.

It is an excellent occasion for our members and the business community to enjoy a dynamic  speaker and acknowledge some of our future leaders. As this event sold out in the past few  years, I encourage you to purchase a table or individual seat(s) as soon as possible. A seat is $60 and tables of ten cost $600 (including GST). Please email your request to Richard.Brodie@Xtra.co.nz and an invoice will be issued. For further information please contact Richard on 027 4392424 or by email.
