As the Conservation and Science Advisor based at Otari Native Botanic Garden, Karin is involved in a broad range of projects including biodiversity conservation, ex situ plant conservation and research. She specializes in seed banking, cryopreservation and threatened plant management with much of her time invested in conserving New Zealand's plants threatened by invasive pathogens.
Karin is going to speak to our club about a Kauri Project.
On Sunday 4 September, a Steam train will be departing Paekakariki on a return trip to Taihape. The train will stop in Levin, Palmerston North and Marton, if you'd like to hop off and enjoy these locales. Tickets are $160pp and can be booked here. Get in quick, as these events often sell out!
