Rotary in New Zealand
Napier New Zealand, District 9930, is home to 5 Rotary Clubs - Napier, (1924) Ahiriri, Ahuriri Sunrise, Greenmeadows and Taradale. All clubs are working on environmental projects and one in particular, an ongoing planting project over the last 30 years has been at Dolbel Reserve which was featured in the RDU last year. That is with the Rotary Clubs of Greenmeadows and Taradale. All the Napier Clubs were involved in a big planting project last year as part of the Napier Rotary Pathway Trust’s ‘Maggie’s Way’. One Rotarian donated $100,000 for plants and there were huge planting days involving the whole community.
